Seagulls Insane And Swans Deceased Mining Out The Void: Seagulls insane and swans deceased mining out the void

Havoc, who used to play in Behemoth and now has the kickass post metal band Blindead and Nihil from Massemord come together to form a band that could be called post black metal, I guess. This is some pretty hard to categorize music but I like it. The songs are all lengthy and working from a black metal framework but the sludgy guitar tone changes things a little. Also, elements of doom metal, electronics and the ability to come up with some memorable off kilter melodies makes this quite an interesting listen. All the songs are simply numbered “I” through “V” with “III” really standing out from the pack with a hypnotic keyboard melody that’s buried beneath the music and just keeps repeating through the eleven odd minutes of this song. The rest of the songs are alright but tend to feel very alike one another and things start to blur a bit with no clear distinction between songs. Still, an interesting listen and fans of post metal and doom should take note.
6,5/10: Not a bad listen for fans of slow and heavy music.
After going thru that crap, you most likely wanna read something way more interesting. You do, admit it.
